Today, the REJA team visited the Legal Aid CDS Group  in New Karu, Nasarawa State. Our aim was to engage in fruitful discussions and raise awareness about restorative justice (RJ), emphasizing its numerous benefits and highlighting the provisions of RJ within the Nigerian legislations.

Throughout our interactions with the group, we  uncovered a concerning lack of knowledge regarding RJ, even among young lawyers. This realization underscores the critical importance of strategic and continuous sensitization efforts to educate and inform relevant stakeholders about RJ and its far-reaching advantages.

It is imperative that we bridge the knowledge gap and ensure that all stakeholders, especially legal professionals, are equipped with a comprehensive understanding of RJ.
